“WIND CHASES THE SUN”
Between the years of 1973 and 1975 over sixty Native Americans were murdered during the “Reign of Terror” on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. On June 26th, 1975 this tension erupted with a shootout on the Jumping Bull Ranch between FBI and AIM members resulting in the deaths of two FBI agents and one American Indian. In 1977, Indian Activist, Leonard Peltier, was convicted for the murder of the two agents and since has served thirty-four years in Federal prison. Despite proof that he was convicted on the basis of fabricated and suppressed evidence, as well as a false testimony, he continues to languish behind bars. This is the film of an innocent man, imprisoned by the lies of a guilty government.
“THIS IS AMERICA”
Based after the assassination of a future president elect, a group of people are held hostage with the assassin demanding unusual, unselfish, and patriotic ransoms. His intent is to show the American people what this country can do and what they could have if they fight for it. The film has great dialogue on controversial issues such as affirmative action, Iraq, education, religion, racism, healthcare, abortion, etc are dissected and opinions are shown. The just of the film is to expose the corruption of the US government and how the priorities of our government are wrong. The assassins hope is that the people of the United States for one day will see what it is like to have a government that actually cares, and in the end they will then fight for that.
